I am most definitely over dark beers, pisses all my beer drinking buddies off. If I never have a plain stout or porter again I could be fine with that. At 600 different beers I know what I like. I love a good saison(HF Arthur, SARA Bernice) sour/wild (peche m brett, almanac beers, crooked stave). If I never had another stout, porter or barley wine, I'd be fine with that. I know I will have them but eh. Over it.

Not at all. I enjoy stouts, porters and black/brown ales/ipas all year round even more in the colder months. I live in Miami where it's hot most of the year and a saison or a crisp ipa is always refreshing every now and then for me but most of the year I enjoy dark beers.

It is interesting to see your responses based on where you live. I live in the desert and could easily wake up and have a breakfast porter for brunch, but I usually wait to have a beer at night after working with large brick ovens in a 100 + degree kitchen all day. By that time any beer sounds good, but something not so thick is desirable.

There's a difference between "imperial aged porters" and dark beers. I love low ABV stouts, year-round.

While the angle of the dangle does increase with the heat of the meat. It does not matter. Good beer is good anytime the mood is right.

Seasons have never influenced the type of beer I drink, only they type that is released. So, no.

Bars and my apartment have AC. No reason not to enjoy a stout.

In warmer weather I'll still drink Irish dry stout, oyster stout, English mild, and schwarzbier but agree that heavier gravity dark beers and ones barrel aged I'll stay away from.

I'm not over them, but since I'm a homebrewer I have to take into consideration that I've got to drink 5 gallons of the stuff. Currently, I'd really like to make a bourbon porter but I just don't think I'll be in the mood to drink that much of it.

So, I'll still drink darker beers in the summer...but I certainly drink fewer of them.

I try not to lift the bottle or glass in the summer if I can help it. I go to a bar so the bartender can fill the glass and put it in front of me. Then I use a straw.

    Did that answer your question?

I'm all about the warm weather beers. hefes, wits, weiss, helles lagers, kolsch, pilseners, etc. etc. are a few of my favorite things. However, a solid stout as a night cap or enjoying by the fire are a treat I enjoy indulging in regardless of the time of year.

For me it depends on the Season. Warmer weather and summer comes around and I'm jonesin' for some SN Summerfest, GI 312 and Summer Ale, Summer Shandy's, IPA's and Pale Ales! Fall brings about the Octoberfests and the wonderful pumpkin ales, brown ales and the like. Winter, I look forward to Celebration, Impy Stouts, Barleywines and High ABV IPA's. Spring - I'm turning for something lighting but still substantial.

Usually in the summer I'm not a huge fan of a Stout or anything super Malty
