Several years ago, one of the home brew gurus said or wrote something like: "If you want to medal in Pale Ales, make an IPA." Anyone know the source of this? TIA!
Probably not what you're after . . . but in a private message, @jbakajust1 told me that to medal in IPA, make a DIPA.
Somebody on the Brewing Network. Maybe Jamil, maybe Mike Tasty McDole. But I know lots of people were already saying it years before the BN existed. Just like spear heads and the wheel were probably invented in dozens of places all around the globe. It was just an inevitable conclusion.
