Consider me inspired. I plan on filling my CBS snifter with one this weekend.

Traded my Melange 3 for a growler of Nelson. I'd do that trade again in a heartbeat. Mmmmmmmm, Nelson, so damn good. I'd probably trade someone else's child for more Nelson since i have none.

No way! That sounds like the name of a much inferior beer. Oh, wait. I see what you did there.

It sat on a shelf, essentially at the brewery itself, for a while, therefore it is a shelf turd. Sure it was $30 and not distributed but, it sat somewhere.

This Provisions discussion is as well worn as smooth alabaster.

M3 suffers from Parabolitis, it is unlikely that anything you can trade it for will improve upon what you already have in your possession, particularly given that $30 price tag. Cue the "RS discount pundits" to grind that old chestnut into a fine paste.

Not to hijack or anything, but here's the hijack...

I've had the first bottling of Melange no.3 but haven't seen the newer botling yet. How does this newer bottling compare to the first?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

He never said he was going to drink it. Maybe he just wants to watch it evaporate?

Was this beer bottled more than once?

The first batch was much better than the second IMO. It was smoother and a bit darker (more stout influence).

    Have it? Drink it.
Want it? I have tons and we can work something simple out so I can try new stuff from outside my market.

Its not always about winning the trade :grimacing:

Parabolitis, for a minute there, I thought I got this from watching that Kim Kardashian, ummm, tape, one too many times.

Then I went back and re-read that, and realized, nope, Parabolitis is the main reason my trading has come to a damn near stop. Especially after the most recent Woodshop, where Black Note, Event Horizon, and a whole host of other Orca-like bottles could barley hold there own against most Cali brews. A CFH to rule them all.

Interesting, I felt the exact opposite. Noticed a bit more char/roast in the second batch, though I don't think either were particularly stout-y. I preferred the second to the first, but assholes and opinions, as they say...

Drinking one of those by yourself is quite a feat. I've done it twice and both times I've ended up d-runk by the end of the night. One tasty beverage though!
