Garlic and green onion. I hated it. I don't know how the hell people think it's a good beer.

Me neither. I wish I would have known that before buying two 4-packs at $20 a pop....

    Incidentally, FT: 2011 Devil Dancer

"Everything that Founders makes is outstanding and the best "quality" example of that category." Sarcasm to paraphase what is said on this site.

Not a hater, but a realist. Love Red's Rye, Centennial, and drink the Pale Ale often.

It ages very well. At 2-3 years it's excellent.

I am aging mine, because like others I did not care for it fresh at all. This is the '11 I am talking about

Centennial is good, FBS/KBS are both great, Double Trouble is good fresh, their porter is alright. But Devil Dancer? No. Not even close. It's about as close to good as Saddam Hussein was to being beatified by the Vatican.

It's my opinion. I also don't think Pliny is the best DIPA in America. Does that make me wrong? Nope, that just means my palate is different, as yours is different from mine.

    Cheers

Last year was one of the hottest beers I have ever had! Threw in the cellar after I had one.

Had last year's as fresh as it comes on draft at Founders Fest in June, it was pretty good if you enjoy a wayyyy overassertive, bitter hop profile. There was a lot more canabis smell than green onion, earthy coming from that draft. When I bought a few bottles about 2 weeks later, I could definitely tell what everybody was talking about. I have a tight beer budget as it is, I don't see any reason to buy bottles of this again ;-)
