Heading up there NYE for a few days to hang with some friends in a cabin. I looked up the two breweries that are up there and they got terrible reviews (Big Bear Lake Brewing / Big Bear Brewing). Any bottle shops or bars that we should check out?

Most likely your best bet is bring your own up. I have been tp this bottle shop and it is decent but don't have any big expectations: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/6460/?view=ratings

Never hit any of the breweries up. If you go up the back way you can easily hit Hangar 24. Have fun.

Gone here before as well. It's small but not bad. Ultimately everything seemed a little expensive, but this is to be expected

Big Bear Mountain Brewery is definitely disappointing.

Stop at Ritual & Hanger 24 in Redlands and pick up growlers/bottles and take up with you. Plus whatever else you could bring up in a cooler. El Cerrito Liquor Mart in Corona off the 15 has excellent bottle selections.
