Silver King in Tarpon Springs (its new and Ive never been), and 7venth Sun in Dunedin (highly recommended) are the two that come to mind...SK is probably the closest brewery to Brooksville, and 7venth Sun may be as far as CCB now that I think about it...but if you go to 7S, you might as well hit Rapp too....and once at Rapp, youre right by Pair O Dice, and 15 minutes from Cycle...

Sorry man...I guess I cant hep. lol

Nature Coast Brewing and Copp Brewery are both located in Crystal River, those are probably your closest. I've never been to either of them, but somebody posted about them in the Beer Enthusiasts of Florida Facebook page a few days ago. It looks like Nature Coast is located at Burkes of Ireland, sort of a brewpub thing going on.

The wife and I vacationed in Crystal River awhile back and went to Burkes of Ireland which houses Nature Coast Brewery. Really neat place. I had their Jacked Manatee. Really good BA Milk Stout. I highly recommend.

I don't know about anything north of there in the Crystal River area so I would defer to those above who already have given recommendations. If your request for "anything" extends beyond breweries, Pearl in the Grove (St. Joe's, FLA: Kumquat Capital of the United States) and LOCAL Public House (San Antonio) are good eating spots with small, but well-curated, tap lists. They're both east of I-75 at the SR 52 exit about 25 minutes from Brooksville.

That's probably the extent of "close to Brooksville" as I could offer.

Traveling down I-75 another 20 minutes or so, there's a Brass Tap at the Wiregrass Mall. You could hop off I-75 at the Bruce B Downs exit and head south a mile or so to Mr. Dunderbak's: a super-cool place with a great Euro-heavy (but not exclusive) tap list and tremendous German food. If you head south on the Suncoast Parkway (get a SunPass if you don't already have one), you can hop off at SR 54, head west and hit Big Storm Brewing and Escape Brewing. That's about a 40-minute drive.

Add another 20-30 minutes to the drive in various permutations and you could hit Saint Somewhere (Tarpon Springs; brewery has limited hours but the beer is great and Tarpon's a cool place, anyway; hit Hellas for dessert!); Stilt House and LagerHaus (Palm Harbor), 7venth Sun and Dunedin Brewery (Dunedin); and Wild Rover (Keystone). A bit more of a drive and you can be in mid-Pinellas County (Barley Mow and Willard's Tap House in Largo; Rapp and Pair O' Dice in Pinellas Park) or Tampa proper (Six-Ten, CCB, Angry Chair, et al).

Thanks for all the help guys. We are staying in weekei watchee on the river (my wife's grandparents have an awesome place down there). It's about an hour from CCB going down the coastal highway. Was just curious if anything relatively close to that area I could take the in laws to and share a pint or two. Thanks for all the feedback

I'm feel I'm the only person in Spring Hill/Brooksville who drinks good beer (if there is anyone else here PM me!) As far as breweries big storm is probably the closest. Ccb is probably a little over an hr from where you're staying. Cycle over a hr and a half. Rapp and 7venth sun probably over an hr south on 19 (annoying drive). A cool little place in Weeki Wachee is Becky Jacks food shack. Good fresh seafood and a probably the best draft list in all of hernando county (not saying a whole lot). But they have very limited hours so check first. If you need to pick up beer to go the beer frog is decent but overpriced, that abc liquor on 19 is horrible.
