I suspect a few of you will be excited by this.

If I am reading correctly, anyone can enter the lottery? Even someone who has never gone to a release or purchased much of there beer?

I'm really hoping they keep locals in mind. And they are usually really good about that. Please, no proxies + multiple mandatory pickups throughout the year.

    200 bucks for 2 bottles...

They just posted the deetz. $200 for two society-only 750's, a t-shirt, a glass, 10% tasting room discount, and ability to reserve other bottles throughout the year. And they're allowing trustees.

A solid deal I'd say and seems super fair for everyone. Not sure I have the 200 bones to throw down for it right now though, maybe if I win my office Super Bowl squares pool ha.

Does not sound like a solid deal to me. Rare Barrel is $300 and you get 10 bottles along with the other perks. $200 for 2 bottles is a pretty bad deal IMO.

$200 for two bottles of beer. You have got to be kidding me.

Who in their right mind thinks this is a good idea?

Oh and helping locals... LOL allows proxies. This is a money grab pure and simple.

But they allow you the right to reserve bottles to spend more money...

From Fonta Flora's FB page, "Think of it as spending $20 per release to not have to deal with any BS.".... Wow... bold move FF.

If you don't want / can't afford the membership, don't buy it. Get in line for the releases and do it just like everyone else. Doesn't hurt you.

It's a VIP thing. Can't get to many release but want their beer? Here is your chance. They aren't saying you can't get their beers without it. A money grab would be saying you can only get bottles with it.

Fair enough, but I don't really care for RB's beers so that comparison doesn't really matter to me.

So instead of calling it a beer club, why don't they just call it a "FastPass"?

I dunno, maybe "society" was meant to mean "high society VIP". Where did they ever call it a beer club?

Oh goody, dictionary lessons! Please, lets get back on track and gripe about beer. It's more fun.

Judging by your earlier comment, it sounded like you didn't understand what a money grab was. Just trying to help.

    Beer, beer, beer, grrrr... (better?)

LOL. What price would you guys consider not a "money grab" and just a normal exchange of goods for currency?

I belong to 3 different clubs and none of them are priced this high. Two of them, rare barrel and casa agria give me 10 bottles and first choice purchase of every release and I get to use my 10% discount.

El Catador breaks down to $30/ bottle for 750ml Ba beer. I would say this is outrageously priced and I'm a huge FF fan.

Most beer clubs offer BA or sour beer at the price of $25-30 a 750mL bottle. This beer club would be the most expensive with the least amount of 'benefits' of any that I have seen in the last two years.

Gotcha. Well I admittedly am not very familiar with the pricing for any other brewery memberships as that type of thing hasn't ever really interested me before. I can't imagine what I would do with 10 Rare Barrel bottles for instance.

But maybe y'all are right then and it's not a good deal. I'm just surprised y'all seem so mad about it.
