Apple Brandy barrel-aged beers

I really thought DB Huna b2 was great, but it doesn't get the love it deserves. It is a blend though so not 100% AB barrel.

 

The bottle of DB huna 2016 i had was absolute fucking garbage. Undrinkable hot green pepper nastiness.

 

I have no idea which one this is nor what it goes for but......

 

I've had just about every derivation. Apple brandy was by far my least favorite. Dare I even say it had "off" flavors characteristics. I'm no cicerone so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

 

The Veil recently released Apple Brandy Sleeping Forever for their anniversary, they also did Apple Brandy Circle of Wolves a few months prior to that.

Something like 5 years ago Brothers released an Apple Brandy Resolute for their members-only bottle. I think I still have a bottle of it.

 

I'd love to get my hands on a bottle of that AB COW. Don't think many are out there though .

 

Shouldbt be too difficult- I traded for it twice with SP Fuzzy

 

Anchorage Brewing has an Apple Brandy BW coming out this summer. 21 months in the barrels. It’s called A Deal with De Molen.

 

For the ease of obtaining and the great taste, AB Apparition by Jackie O’s is probably gonna be your best bet assuming you trade. Join the Cleveland craft beer trading group on Facebook and you’re sure to find someone with one. I traded a 2014 bcbs 1:1 for one. Cheers

 

Really too bad. Partially based on the varying reviews, we opened our bottle last night. It isn't near the glory it was immediately, but our pours were still very good. I wonder what happened, but it sucks there are crappy bottles out there.

 

Well I know you're going to be at Barrel Theory in a couple weekends to try their 1st Anny beer.

 

Funky Buddha does their barrel aged Muy Bonita in Apple Brandy barrels. Westbrook did a variant of Siberian Black Panther in AB also AB Mexican Cake. 50/50 has done AB Eclipse multiple years.

 

I really enjoyed the Apple Brandy Dark Apparition from Jackie O's. Shouldn't be crazy hard to obtain, I'm pretty sure it was part of their most recent Anniversary release and was 6pp.

 

I'll grab you an AB Lawson's Fayston Maple stout if they release again. Very enjoyable brew.

Bottle Logic had an extremely desserty AB barrel stout (early preview) at their week of logic event that was wild, called quentovic coin. No gaurantee they release it in bottles, and itll have a new name if they do, but keep a look out!
