I think you're confusing me with someone else, no where did I mention driving any distance. If I was actually driving there, It would be more like 25 hours one way. :grinning:

My point was that it doesn't make sense to have a limited beer release if your goal is to keep it low-key? We all know what happens when you mix extremely limited with awesome beer. Btw, I don't really have any motives as I never planned on attending seeing that I live in WI. I just found it interesting that they decided to do a release of ~60.

And yes, if I went to a brewery where they advertised a beer they were doing growler fills on and I was 6th in line for that beer and they only did 5 growler fills, I would be pissed. The beer community is an odd duck. It seems to be the only community I know of where you, as the costumer, get criticized for questioning the manufacturer/retailer.

Thanks to all the Floridian locals. I was the dude with the OKC thunder shirt on. I'm on vacation and lucked out to fly in a day before this event.

Everyone was super-friendly and the event was well organized. Very glad the profits from the event go to help the family that lost a husband/father/brother/son. Really cool of Cigar City to do this.

As far as the growlers, we were probably about 30-35th in line and I'd say the kegs blew after 60-80 growlers (as stated above). Snack Attack and White Oak Jai Alai were almost as fantastic as the Brandy BA Zhukov.

Probably 200 people there. At least. Good times.

Very cool. Glad to hear people had a good time. Also glad to hear White Oak Jai Alai was there on tap. One of my favorite IPAs! Hopefully I will see it in stores soon again.

I was replying in general to the entire thread. did not mean to have it all directed towards you. the consumer has every right to question a manufacturer. That should be the standard for any product really. I meant to say that I thought plenty of notice was given by CCB. I was expecting someone throwing a fit because they drove X hours and didn't get anything-you know the same old story with beer releases. I actually didn't get a growler as I felt like sleeping in that morning so I was at least 25 beyond the cut off. But I got my snifter of Brandy Zhukov and saw some friends so I was plenty happy. Old news now, good day all around. Cuc Saison was the best for me.
