    I am in no way, shape or form trying to make you feel dumb, but calvados IS apple brandy... specifically from the French region of Lower Normandy.

    I moved to Florida from West Virginia. We grow a lot of apples in West Virginia and not a whole lot of grapes. So, the state is flowing with cheap apple wine. For some reason, I can't help but think of calvados as poor man's brandy. It's a personal thing. :wink:
