Apple Brandy Hunahpu

    So, I saw that this beer finally came out on draft last night. Any idea when the bottles will be coming out?

    FYI the keg they tapped was a 2012, this years BA Hunah was aged on american brandy barrels not liards apple brandy. American brandy barrels like american wines use american grapes which are much fruitier than old world grapes so expect a much more fruit oriented flavor profile from this years BA Hunah.

    And the keg last night lasted 7 minutes! That thing went like crazy! But man was it good!

    Just reiterating what Nicolay said, the keg tapped yesterday had nothing to do with this year's batch.

    The rumor mill is working overtime on this beer. I heard from my fathers cousins neighbors boyfriends sisters husbands former roommate that they released it three weeks ago and L. Ron Hubbard came over from downtown Clearwater on John Travolta's private jet and bought every last bottle.

    I didn't know it was possible to drain a sixtel (I assume) in 7 minutes with the tap wide open the entire time... Bet the person swapping out the glasses wore quite a bit of AB Huna home that night.

    They started filling glasses before selling them at 6:00. So, while the keg lasted 5-7 minutes, they didn't fill them all in that time frame.

    Got it, makes sense. I can see why it went so fast ... Laird's AB Huna is probably the best beer I've ever had.

    I'm hearing from someone that they're already bottled off and are awaiting release. So any day now...?

    Yeah I have been going there a few times a week for the past 2 weeks because of all the rumors surrounding it's release!

    Seriously though, this is probably going to be another quiet release so it'll catch everyone off guard. I just hope they don't decide to release on a Monday or Tuesday, and give us working South Floridians a crack at getting some of that delicious beer!

    Gonna head to the brewery today right around opening time. If there is any BA Hunahpu on the shelf, I'm not telling til I buy more than my fair share.
