apple brandy mexican cake/apple brandy grande negro

    I have traded for a couple of each of these bottles, but am having trouble tracking down any more. Am I not offering enough to snag another bottle or have most people wanting to trade them already have done so? Any insight on any recent completed trades would be appreciated, thanks

    Thinking probably the latter. I just traded my AB Grande Negro 1:1 for a Cognac church, but only did so, because a bunch of my buddies have multiples of the grande negro, and I've now had it a handful of times. I have a AB mexican cake and it would take something pretty special for me to come off that (never saw what you were offering), as it's one of the best spiced stouts made this year. Given that there were less than 500 bottles, many are prolly no longer available. Also, was talking with a buddy in SC the other day, and either the AB or Red wine variant won't be made next year, as Westbrok doesn't have the barrels. If it happens to be he AB, that could also cause an issue, as people may want to hold onto theirs.

    great info, man. for either bottle, i have tossed around bcbvs, saison du fermier, jd mexican cake, bramble, origin(as part of a slightly bigger trade).

    I believe neither the AB or Red Wine Mexican cake will be made next year. They are doing bourbon again and a tequila. Not sure what the other varient(s) will be though.

    Value of AB just went up.

    Someone offered a V012 for one and I'm not sure it got done.

    I'd have done it if I hadn't drank my last one Friday night. Fact is, it's drinking great now, and no reason to age AB mexican cake, it will never get better than what it is now. Same may not be said about V012, however...
