Appropiate glassware for Harvest Ale?

    Maybe not in this instance but Founders Harvest is simply a Fresh Hop IPA. No reason to treat it different that a IPA in terms of glassware. What is good for the goose...

    I believe my dogfish head snifter worked just fine tonight when I enjoyed a Harvest Ale

    No need to pour a beer like Harvest Ale into a glass, decant directly from bottle to mouth.

    I feel that, other than for a hefeweizen, for example, a tulip is a great default glass for most beer - it will highlight the color, channel the aroma, hang the lacings (if any) and take the pour.

    Here's my (yeah, Duvel, baby!) tulip after a bottle-emptying down-the-center pour of Harvest Ale:
