Nitro beers are supposed to mimic cask ales without having a hand pump etc. Much lower in dissolved co2 makes for a much more drinkable beer ( for some people). Also smooths out the mouth feel and reduces perceived bitterness.

Lesson learned. Don't respond to BA while drinking beer..

That's the only nitro beer I've had outside of a brewery, but I believe the bottle says to pour vigorously. Or abruptly. Or something along those lines.

The nitro tastes different than CO2 beer, but I'm not sure I'd call it flat. I could see why somebody might say that, though

True - nitro beers taste even worse than that

You haven't been here long enough to know many here consider nitro-dispense one of the worst things that can be done to beer. There have been many threads about it over the years. The British BA's, in particular, think nitro is artificial and an abomination to beer that makes it bland and strips away it's character.

You also won't find many of us singing the praises of Guinness.
