Ditto. I don't do one without the other. I think of beer as my carbs for running!

I believe the two help each other balance like a ying and yang.

If sex is a form of exercise, then I understand the correlation between exercise and beer. I love having a beer during or after I do my exercises.

    12 Oz curls baby.

Also, carrying the box to the car filled with six packs on my long Hauls is a little heavy, last time, 2 trips!

I run 3 miles a day 5 days a week (Sun,T,W,Th,Sat). I run for beer and against beer. It helps offset the additional calories from consumption. But it also keeps me honest on weeknights, since I run at 5AM. I had to take 8 weeks off in September/October because of Achilles tendinitis and I found myself drinking 5 nights a week easily. It's a delicate balance on a slippery slope.

I make it a point to stay active so my beer drinking doesn't expand my waist line too much. Activities include moderate weight lifting followed by 15-30 mins of cardio. I spell it out like that cuz once you lift and your muscles use all the stored glycogen as fuel, the body shifts its energy source to stored fat or adipose tissue. For me it's about working out smarter and timing. Also, I usually don't have my first drink until 9ish pm which is a shot of bourbon or whiskey followed by only one 12 oz beer of my choice. I have found out that Drinking 2 12 ounces or one bomber seems to be detrimental to my waistline so this is why I incorporate one shot of spirits to offset 200-300 extra calories.

I work out for 3 hours on the weekend so I can eat and drink what I want Friday and Saturday. Sunday through Thursday I behave. Occasionally when I take a day off or go on vacation I go off the reservation, but I always get back down to a particular goal weight even if that means additional workouts for a couple of weeks. Those makeup workouts can be grueling, but were usually worth it.

I do 12 ounce curls, sometimes 16 ounce curls, but mostly 15.5 ounce curls in my favorite 15.5 ounce brandy snifter.

I don't exercise per se, I do activities though that help such as one yoga class a week and more importantly riding on my bike to work 3-5 days a week which is about 15 miles total (there and back).

    Certainly doesn't hurt.

I used to go to the gym 4-5 times a week up until I got a job at a gym 4 months ago... ironic I know. I'm putting in my two weeks tomorrow.

I was a runner for seven years until last month when my right meniscus became too damaged to run on any longer. Depressing.

I do resistance training 5-6 times a week - 1-2 hours per day. Right now I'm cutting, so I will probably have a beer or 2 tomorrow and Saturday and that will probably be all I'll indulge in each week.

Love races/runs where they have good beer afterwards. A little extra motivation to finish quicker... :grinning:

I run 15 miles a week and lift for about an hour 3-4 days a week. I'm married now & have a 19 month old, so motivation is 80% beer & 20% for myself and family. Now that I'm reading what I just typed, Im realizing my motivations should be reversed. Oh well...truth hurts.

I do a half hour on my elliptical every day and we eat lightly and a good diet. It allows me to enjoy beer liberally but still keep my weight down.
