WF near me was charging $30 for a 32oz of 2013 BCBS. I thought it was a lot but attributed it to the Manhattan markup. Guess its everywhere though...

At Whole Foods Devon, Terrapin Wake n Bake went from $9.99 to $15.99 as I was checking out. Also, I noticed Old Rasputin went from $8.99 to $14.99.

I understand a $1 hike, but $5-$6 per 4-pack out of nowhere? No thanks.

I haven't noticed significant price increases at Whole Foods Glen Mills, but they do keep a lot of the limited release stuff in the back. I've been able to get Suppilcation, Velvet Merkin, Sucaba, and Grapefruit Sculpin by calling and asking the staff if they have it or when it will be in. When I get there, just ask and they pull it from the back.

Whole Foods had bottles of Abyss for $21. Wegmans had them for 13.99.
That is a hell of a difference, assuming that they're both getting them from the same place.

Maybe Whole Foods realized that previously they have some of the best pricing (compared to non-grocery store bottle shops), and is now testing the market to see what prices the customers will bear?

I'm pretty sure the Wegmans price was an #&@$ up that they realized later.

Edit: that sort of thing is very common at the grocery stores and is why you see price changes after a beer is on the shelves. It's a not like the beer guy just decides "let me see if this guy will still buy this 4-pack of W-N-B if bump the price $6 on him."

maybe, but all that Deschutes stuff should be about 18$ so maybe a few $ less for wegmans but a few $ more for whole foods.

I noticed today that WF in Plymouth meeting has Ithaca Creeker for $28...that's pricey for an beer brewed in October of 2014? I think their growler prices are pretty crazy. I used to stop at WF regulary...but have not been there for some time. I can find what I want at Weiss and Capones.
