Brand new here and just decided to start cellaring a few beers. Not sure where to start, so I thought I'd ask if any of these are worthy candidates. I've tried them all fresh and currently have a few extra of each. Should I go ahead and drink them or cellar and if so how long would be recommended?

Blue Mountain Dark Hollow Chocolate and Coffee Aged
    Ten Fidy
    Laughing Dog BA Dogfather
    He'Brew Jewbelation 16
    Bell's Expedition Stout
    Founders Breakfast Stout

    Thanks for any suggestions.

Everyone is gonna tell you something different if you wanna cellar something do it if not drink it don't over think it. Cellaring is mostly guess work your just sorta seeing what happens and hoping you'll like how it will taste. It's all a matter of opinion and your guesses/choices of brews are as good as any ones. That being said generally higher abv brews are better maybe like 7% abv or above but their are plenty of exceptions to that. If it helps at all I generally hear good things about aged Ten Fidy, FBS, and Expedition stout (which I have in my cellar right now and I think it's fantastic aged.)

Drink them now so when you drink a aged version you can compare the two.

You should have read the OP more.

Blue Mountain Dark Hollow Chocolate and Coffee Aged - I have one in my cellar, not sure how it is though
Ten Fidy - Heard mixed reviews on aging
Laughing Dog BA Dogfather - heard fine things
He'Brew Jewbelation 16 - no info for ya
Bell's Expedition Stout - heard fantastic things
Founders Breakfast Stout - heard it's best within a year. Love it fresh

I don't have a lot of experience, but these are my findings from around here. maybe someone with more experience will chime in

They should all be good cellar candidates. However, coffee does fade over time, so if you enjoy the FBS and Blue Mountain now I suggest drinking them fresh. Not that they will be undesirable after cellared, but they will have less of the coffee punch than fresh. The coffee is what I enjoy on the FBS, so I do not like it as much when cellared.

BA Dogfather, Ten Fidy & Expedition: age exceptionally well.
Breakfast Stout: coffee recedes, as coffee recedes, chocolate seems more prominent. Just had a 2 year old one at 8am the other day (tailgating). It was awesome.

You've already had all of them, and still have more left, so why not try and hold onto a few for a special occasion with friends and family down the road?

I had a 3 year aged one last year and it was soooo chocolatey. Can't speak for any of the years inbetween but I love it fresh and I loved the 3 year old bottle

Thanks for all the advice. I think I'm gonna give them all at least a year and see how they are at that point. Then I'll decide if it is worth going past that point or drinking the others. I really like the coffee in FBS and the Dark Hollow, but I'm interested to see how that subsides with age for myself. Even if I hate it, it's not a huge loss as FBS isn't too hard to come by here and I live near Blue Mountain.

Jewbelation 16 is an awesome beer, but it's super hot right now. A few years won't hurt it.
