    I do not see the problem, then again I do not know much about the "value" or "worth" of these beers.

    Setup? Not sure, but the kneejerk impulse to comment on the trade offer is probably why you kids got yourpPrivilege/timeouts in the first place.

    Really I view this kind of thing like someone asking a grand for their 27" Tube TV on Craigslist, just chuckle and move on. They can't bump threads anymore so we are good.

    Let me ask you this..... Why do you care what he's asking for? If you can't control yourself and HAVE to troll on what someone else wants for their beer you should get time out.

    You also have to look at the OP for the ISO,,, member since 2010 but only 37 posts and no references or trades on his profile. I would just move on....

    It's just in poor taste whether it's a joke or serious. The value of 1 Rare and 1 BA Huna are probably the same. So it's either trying to take total advantage of someone in the community or it's a joke.

    I just read an FT: Utopias 2012 ISO: Whales that said "this is going to take someone with an extensive cellar to get this done!", I typed something, posted it, then deleted it....sometimes it is hard to bite your tongue, but you must.

    I thought Cali BA's were supposed to drive down the "trade value" of Rare. You're off message.

    I was just using that post as an example as it was the most recent and stood out to me. We all as part of the beer trading community dictate value of everything. I mean who else does?? 95% of people in the community are Great people and promote Beer Advocacy. It's posts like that, that promote ignorance and selfishness. If he at least said "let me know if I'm off here" or something to that effect and not "Title Says it" Aka fork it over, we might know if it's serious or not.

    People have been really good since ISO:FT comments were turned on. Let's keep it that way...

    We all know that's not getting done for a variety of reasons, but the poster will figure it out quickly enough when all he hears is crickets.

    I agree with you that people have been better, but also lately there has been far less outlandish posts. I don't think the crickets work for people like that. I think some people need it spelled out for them. God only knows he'll think the crickets mean "Maybe not enough people have 2 Rares anymore?" new FT: BA Huna ISO: Rare+'10 KtG or 6 BCBVS

    While I agree that a large portion of the BA trading community DOES dictate trade value, the open market SHOULD dictate trade value. Do we think this is going to get done? Do we really think someone with 2 Rares has been holding out for 1 Whiskey Huna? No. Is it our place to call this guy out and make a mockery of him? No. Let him hear crickets with his ISO and rethink what he wants to do wtih his beer. I just wish people were less concerned with humiliating others and telling people what their beer is worth than letting them figure it out on their own.
