Are you an introvert or an extrovert BA?

Definitely an introvert. I'm in my mid-40s now, but when I was in my 20's, I was far more extroverted and loved going out to bars with my friends. I also play guitar, and the bands I was in always played lots of bars, some great and some that were serious dives. WAY more than I care to remember. I feel like I've already done that, and in many ways, it's a younger person's world. Generally, I feel really out of touch and out of place in most bars, unless they specifically cater to craft beer drinkers. And the 'pros' of staying home far outweigh the 'cons' for me now. If I stay home, I don't have to listen to insipid pop music at 150dB, try to hold a semi-intelligent conversation while 75 televisions bombard me with NASCAR or football games of teams I care nothing about, worry about getting a DUI, or deal with an annoying phalanx of hipsters. Plus, it's fucking expensive to go out all the time, and my appreciation of beer is expensive enough !

Introvert. INTP to be specific.

 

It's complicated? I drink mostly at home - with a fully supply of homebrew it's kind of hard not to. I do love going out to drink but I hate being in bars packed wall to wall, which most of the better beer bars around here are.

 

How many beers have I had?

 

Come to Sticks and Stones in Greensboro around 4:30 most every day and you'll meet a few cool folks very calmly drinking a beer or two. Best place I've ever known.

 

Price is definitely a killer!
