I notice that a lot beer geeks/nerds/conniousors/afficianados/enthusiasts tend to stick to one country or style. For instance, I know people that are mainly into beer from Belgium or Belgian style beer, some are into mainly German beers and some are mainly into American craft. Not that its a bad thing.

I make it a point to try different beers from different countries, I don't lean towards any one over a long period of time. I try to switch it up weekly. I don't even discriminate against quality necessarily. From Duvel and Allagash Curieux to Molson XXX and Natty Daddy.. However, I do tend to avoid drinking most standard and weak adjunct lagers such as Bud, Corona and Pabst as I have no interest in them.

    Are you diverse or no?

I love to check out different styles and I'm determined to find a beer of every style that I like. There are only a couple that I haven't found my "sweet spot" yet but I'm sure they are out there somewhere...

I usually stick with some of my "go-to" styles but will always branch out when something catches my eye.

Since I brought them up, Allagash Curieux was incredible. Surprisingly Natty Daddy and Molson XXX weren't nearly as bad as I thought they would be.

I pretty much drink everything from everywhere from your most basic Lager to your most overpowering Imperial Stout or Barely Wine. My only exceptions are low hop Ambers and American Pale Wheat. Ambers I'm hit and miss, but I have yet to find a Pale Wheat I like. (And I like every other version of a wheat beer out there.)

I will drink almost anything. Cheep beer included, but I will do my best to avoid it.

about 5 years ago, i used to drink trappists and trappist-influenced beer exclusively. no IPAs, no stouts, no lagers of any sort.

now i drink everything except adjunct lagers. i go into somewhat general phases (was smoked beer in the fall, moved back to the usual barleywines recently), but i'm about as likely to be drinking an american wild ale as i am an english pale ale or a german lager, etc.

ive had beer from every style but "1" (happosu or w/e, btw if you can trade one let me know), 72 countries, 40 states I'd say I am incredibly diverse.

I guess there's a handful of styles that I tend to gravitate towards. The beers I typically avoid are red ales, bocks and spiced holiday beers.

I'm open to most styles and only avoid a few (browns, wheats, spiced, smoked) - although I've had select brews from all of these styles that I have enjoyed.

I'm lucky enough to have a store with 1000+ beers, good prices and a mix-a-six 15% off program right down the street. I just grab what I haven't had/seen before. I think I have tried mostly American brews to this point but that's only because of the prices tending to be lower per bottle. I try to have different stuff as much as possible but gravitate toward American stuff right now.

I would say I am fairly diverse...I am open to most all styles and countries. I generally drink maltier US beers but am open to all.

I rarely drink the same beer throughout the night and usually not the same style. Living around Chicago I tend to drink seasonally, but been drinking a lot of ipa/dipa's lately as well.

I love IPA's, PA's (english and american), Stouts, Porters, Saisons, some American Belgian IPA's.

I'm mostly for america. I'm not much into belgian (or belgian style) beers. Some strike me but not many. I'll try a lot....but find what I like is within certain styles.

I'll try anything. I usually find myself drinking DIPAs, but I like sours, BBA beers, some Barleywines, the occasional lager, and sometimes stouts, especially BBA stouts. I'm usually not a fan of Belgian styles that taste like banana. Definitely not a banana fan whatsoever.
