First time I had Three Philosophers it tasted like bananas. I too hate bananas. But the second time I had it, it tasted like cherries, no bananas whatsoever. Weird.

I have two bottles of Aecht Schlenkerla Eiche which I am a bit skeptical of trying.

I like to think that I'm pretty diverse. I guess I tend to gravitate toward Belgian styles and IPAs, but I think I mix it up enough that it's not prohibiting my enjoyment of other styles.

Absolutely diverse as I am usually in the mood to try something I haven't had, but will grab some of whatever I know I like as well…

I will try pretty much anything and everything. Been on a Belgian kick lately with Tripels, but I have had a very wide variety of styles recently. About to drink a Biere De Mars from Ommegang right now

I drink mostly Belgian beer. Rarely do I drink an American made Belgian style beer though. Nobody makes Belgians like the Belgians. I do however drink many other styles but don't focus nearly as much on them as I do the Belgians.

This would be a great post to provide some current beer drinking/reviewing stats from my profile page, if they were still available. Since June 2011, I've had beers from more than 100 breweries, across almost 60 styles, from somewhere between 8 and 12 countries and about 18 states (add one more tonight, I'm about to crack my first Nebraska beer). Again, I wish I had more accurate stats at my fingertips... hopefully they'll get that back up soon.

I do have my favorite styles, breweries, countries and states for beer - but I try to be pretty diverse and open-minded in what I drink.

Obviously I have my favorite styles, but I am all over the place with my ticks.

Maybe my experiences have been different, but BA's I know (and craft beer enthusiasts in general) have rather promiscuous palates.

I'd say I am. Curiosity lead me loving sours and rauchbiers.

There are certainly a select few go-to styles for me (imperial stouts, dipas, imperial reds) but the more I try, the more I find winners in each style. Maybe not ALL styles but it does seem to me that there are enough awesomely talented brewers out there experimenting with styles that I continue to try new stuff because I'm often impressed.

Of course. Sours, IPAs, and stouts take up the majority of my time but ill try anything once and rarely drink two of the same thing in one sitting.

I havent even made it to the year mark with my new found love of craft beer. I wanted to try everything, and everything is pretty much new to me as it comes out and hits the shelves.

I started out with the super hoppy brews (Hoptimus was my first) and I think I will always appreciate and love the style. I tried stouts at a tasting party I hosted back in January. The only one I liked out of every one I tried was BCBVS. Since last October, I have started obsessing with old ales and barley wines. They are my current favorite.

I think I will always have my favorites but I also know I will always seek and try new stuff. And how can anyone hate a Belgian? Im not mad at a Belgian

I'm extremely diverse in my beer drinking. My first love is big beers in general. I'm still in winter mode at the moment where my bread and butter is Imperial Stouts mixed with barleywines, etc. As the weather warms I tend to gravitate toward DIPA's, IPA's, APA's, etc. Frankly, there isn't a style of beer that I haven't found something I've really liked.

Speaking of that, anyone else that tends to be "seasonal" in their preferred styles. Why the heck are Hopslam and other seasonal DIPA's & IPA's released in the winter? Focus on your stouts and other big beers in the winter and save Hopslam and other brews for spring and summer!

Aside from sours and macros, I love all styles of beer and actively seek out new things to try; sticking with the same style is like tedium to me.

I am very diverse as well - as Michael Jackson once said "Try 'em all!"

i like to think i make an attempt at it, but i usually end up sticking with american (d)ipas, APAs, and imperial stouts. i enjoy drinking belgian and german beers, but definitely buy them at a far lesser frequency.

I have my favorite styles, sure. But I'll try anything that sounds intriguing and is new to me. Always trying to expand my palate.
