Are you over the Chase?

Me too neither.

 

I enjoy the chase. It's a hobby plain and simple. I can say I've met some great people waiting in line and/or trading beer.

Waiting in line, overpaying, and dealing with sketchy store owners that hoard product is only a small part of it from what I've experienced.

Visiting different places and trying all kinds of beer are an important part of the hobby to me.

 

I made it a point to chase all the beers I really wanted to try and am.content at this point with the beers I've tried .if I'm lucky I'll get the special releases if my schedule permits but won't go out of my way other than for bcbs it's an event I enjoy the bottle shares are one of the best parts of it and it's an amazing beer

 

I know I'm done with jumping through hoops for certain beers. Wait in line and then pay a big price for a rare beer which was great but really is not worth the extra effort. In my opinion, if I go to the local shop I might ask but most times I'll try something new and be ahead of the curve. Saves time and money.

You mean am I over the people walking into stores only looking for Pliny or anything Russian River because they read something about the hype on a beer website and proceed to walk out buying nothing at all because the store didn't carry Russian River? Yes I am over that nonsense.

 

I'm done for the most part...Having said this, I really want ALL of the variants of BCBS. All these nubees are gobbling up every store's allotment. I have kids, and a job, I have no time for waits in long lines for 3-4 12 oz bottles.

I know, I know, First World problems.

 

This. I forgot what people even do on BF. I know I worked all day and later took my kids out to see Santa light a Christmas tree in the freezing cold. That was FUN!

 

Spent the better part of the day chasing around town for BCBS. Ended up scoring a case but I really felt like a douchebag after walking out of a store 20-25 miles away from my house, with 2 12oz bottles that I spent $15-ish for. WTF is wrong with me?

 

Hate the chase. Can't stand the feeling pulling up to a store, seeing a line and the sheer panic this entire trip could be entirely pointless. I don't have time to wait in lines for beer that is questionably better than things I can find easily. BCBS is the most ridiculous of the lot. Totally overhyped beer. Just buy a bottle of bourbon instead. No waiting in a line for that.

 

Not interested in the chase. Mainly because it goes against my personality traits. I don't go with the norm and like to go against the grain. I don't understand the thrill of black Friday. And there is absolutely no way I'm would wait in line for anything on that day including BCBS. I just can't stand the hype surrounding this. If something presents itself or I see opportunity I'll grab it. Got 2 Enjoy By 12/26 today with no effort. While everyone is shopping or waiting in line I would rather enjoy beer from my fridge staring at the stars and moon enjoying the fresh air or playing the guitar. Life is good
