No, I try to avoid things that I know I'm not going to enjoy. I simply don't care for hoppy beer. Nothing against those that do, though it seems unnecessary to have a day dedicated to what is already the most popular craft style.

Yes, but I'm still fairly new to IPAs. So many more to try!

Like them - yes. Addicted to them - no. I tend to like the citrusy ones the best, but prefer them to be balanced. I'll go for the big bitter in your face ever eat a pine tree version once in a while, but not regularly. I did enjoy RuinTEN - despite the mosh pit of hops warning label, I thought there was some sweetness providing balance.

Not a must have for me - but neither is much else. Too many styles out there to enjoy to focus on one.

understandable and yeah it's a silly day as most people drink ipas every day anyway. but it is an excuse to drink more.

No. There are plenty of styles that are just as good, and I'm sick of how many IPAs there are out there. Why does your brewery need to make 7 different IPAs? Why do most craft beer bars have about 50% of their drafts as IPAs? It's ridiculous.

Maybe bc it's the most popular style? Breweries are in the business to make money too, you know. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean brewers or bars should change the way they do things bc of it.

not really. IPAs and other hoppy beers were cool a few years back. I thought sours would be the next big thing, so I started to get into those, but unfortunately not as many places in the midwest are good at them. So the best thing to drink/buy/trade now are BA stouts. Every week there is a new killer rare BA stout coming out, no time for IPAs.

To add to this, there aren't many rare IPAs. This is a big turn off for me. That's why I can only stomach Pliny the Younger. It just tastes so much rarer than everything else

yeah what happened to beer like Citra or Expo. I want more like those. Even PtY isn't that cool any more as it hangs around places for a long time. HT was great when it first came out, now case are flowing like a river, even Alpine in general is getting boring, especially with the contract brewing. I still like Lawson and HF IPAs, but I want something new from them already, I am getting a little tired of Double Sunshine.

I completely agree with you. I think we may have something coming along with these new barrel aged IPAs. I hear FFF is working on collaboration with The Alchemist to do a PvW aged Zombie Dust/Heady Topper.
