Hooked? Eh, yes and no. Yes in a sense that I used to despise IPAs/anything overly hoppy but my palate has changed dramatically over the years and now I crave one more often than not and seem to have at least one type on hand at any given time. But the no part is like RBCORCORAN stated I need to be careful with them, as too many can give me bad heartburn and make my stomach a little queasy the next day. Also, I don't find their taste to be very session-able for me and I grow tired of the flavors after just one or two. Another negative [depending on how you look at it] is that they have wrecked my palate and beers I used to find flavorful are like water to me now...I have even tried avoiding IPAs for an extended period of time but that didn't seem to help much.

But the positive side to them not being session-able for me is that when I am trying to stick with just one or two beers at a time an IPA is a perfect remedy, as I know I won't want more than that amount in a sitting.

Hooked? No way man, not me. I can quit anytime I want, no problem. Why? You got some. I can meet you man, where ever you want. Just tell me when and where, I'll be there. By the way, do you take food stamps?

I love to come back to them! I have to take a break from them to appreciate them. if you love something let it go kinda thing maybe? This style is so wonderful but for me should be enjoyed in moderation and infrequently. It really does make it more special.

Lake Louie's Radio Free IBA is the best I've tried, but I agree that black IPA's are more miss than hit.

Yes, I'm drinking a Double Jack as we speak, and had a Hop Stoopid to start the day. Love them, and sometimes start with a hoppy pilsner, and finish with a stout or porter. I enjoy good craft beer. ^^
