Well I guess mine are. Not that I favor west coast beers more. But I get them more. I generally favor Sucks and Enjoy by over most other IPAs . Stone IRS, speedway, and Caldera Mogli for my imperial stout/porters.

These aren't necessarily better than others, but I get them much more and have grown very fond of them. Same with RR sours, knee deep IPAs, Victory at sea...Some may be the best in their category others aren't.. But they have become more to me than beers drinking them over years. Always there when I need them. And having an amazing beer I can't get here will be great! and possibly put them to shame, but it will never have the sentimental effect our locals have.

Maryland doesn't have a big craft scene, but what we do have is solid. I wouldn't say I favor MD beer, but I'm happy to buy and enjoy the great local beer we do have.

Somewhat, yes. My preferences are like a 50/50 split. I enjoy local stuff (PA/DE/VA/NY), but also really enjoy stuff from further away. Belgian and German beers are yummy.

Edit: Forgot to provide some examples.

    Victory
    Troegs
    Weyerbacher
    Dogfish Head
    Ommegang
    etc. etc. etc.

Things are getting good enough here in Florida where I can usually support a great local beer at any of the better area bars.

Squatters is doing solid work, especially Hop Rising.
Epic has some good choices ( even though I'm not a fan of their Big Bad Baptist ).
    So there's at least Nevada=0, Utah=2.
    In my book.

I'm basically covered with the fine products of Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, Montana, and Colorado.
But I also enjoy most beers from Boulevard, Ommegang, Unibroue and a few other more distant breweries.
As well as Belgium and Germany, of course.

I try to give the breweries around me a fair shake. New Glarus, Central Waters, Ale Asylum, MBC, and Lakefront all get plenty of time in my fridge. On the other hand, for example, I rarely get anything from Capital, even though I live a mile down the street from the brewery. So I guess the answer would be yes: if I'm looking for something new, I'm prejudiced towards trying Wisconsin breweries.

These^ I buy a 6 pack of Shorts seasonals almost every time they release one; and you can always find Founders Centennial or Two Hearted in my fridge. Also agreed on the GLBC seasonals!

I wouldn't say so, live in socal and there's so many great breweries here that all the stores primarily carry crafts from these breweries, but definitely enjoy crafts from all over if i can find 'em

I'd say yes to an extent. I love me some New England beers. I'll always have a combination of Sam Adams, Jacks Abby or Maine Beer Co in the fridge. However I do like Founders, GI & Firestone Walker as much if not more than the New England breweries.

I find its more bias towards where I'm from rather than where I live now. Not that VA isn't putting out great stuff now, but I grew up in northern Vermont, so that goes without saying. Only additional quirk to it is I think I enjoy Smuttynose IPA more than the average VA resident just because I consider that close to home.

I always drink local, it just happens I'm always on the move so get to drink lots of different local beers and visit lots of brew pubs, most of whom only sell beer on site.

No, I'm from Michigan and I don't drink much from Founders, Bell's, or Kuhnhenn. I think they are excellent breweries (well, Kuhnhenn I've never had anything from - but heard good things), but I much prefer Belgian and German styles. In terms of North American brews, I generally go for Dogfish, New Belgium, Great Lakes, Ommegang, and Unibroue...occasionally Bell's.

I think those might be based on my location, though, because I'm sure if I were on the west coast I'd try to get into Alesmith, Cigar City, Russian River, etc. and when I move to Georgia I'm sure I'll test out Terrapin, Sweetwater, Flying Dog, and Allagash...just to name a few. Although inevitably some of those breweries might end up being like Founders and Bell's for me where their quality is apparent but I'll end up sticking to my imports because I haven't yet gotten into the styles that most of these breweries are known for.

I'm so spoiled when it comes to my area's brews. I live less than 20 minutes from 3 Floyds and less than an hour from Goose Island, Half Acre and Revolution Breweries. Plus there are some other small great breweries in my area like Flossmoor Station and Figure 8. I probably drink about 90% local now. But can you blame me?... Lol

I would rather drink an average beer brewed here in Rochester than an exceptional one from California. I used to drink mainly imports but now mainly drink beers brewed in Upstate NY, the exceptions being Founders and Goose Island's specialty beers. (Many of GI's core beers are now brewed in Baldwinsville, NY-85 miles away).
