I was thinking, as I sometimes do, about brett and mixed fermentation and I thought, "Didn't Phil Markowski of Two Roads literally write the book on farmhouse ales?" So I went on the Two Roads site ... yadda yadda ... led me to the Area Two site.

Has anyone been? Or had anything from Area Two?

Synopsis which is a fruited sour is supposed to be from area 2, I have had the prickly pear version and there is supposed to be a blackcurrant one as well

Been there a number of times, beers are really well made. Sours, Barrel Aged, Farmhouse styles all really well done. Some really interesting stuff. Well worth a visit. Has a nice outdoor space and a rooftop deck if the weather is nice.

Had the Synopsis Black Currant last night. It was impressive. My first thought was it belongs in a bottle with a cage. Perfect amount of tart. As you work through the can you start to get a bit of jelly-like sweetness. I’m on the hunt for more.

This batch of Hexotic is spot on. The rest are also good. Good choices from Table Beer to fruited BA farmhouses to seltzer.

Had the prickly pear sour when I was in MA over the weekend. Had never even heard of this brewery, but was impressed with that beer. Real nice dryness to it and great flavor.
