Tom, thank you for such a wonderful reply! My family and I are moving west because we own a house in Jerome and I lost my job in March due to Covid. I am psyched to hear about Park Plaza Liquors! Great tip!!!

Heading to Sedona on Saturday. We have not been out west would love to try some great Arizona beers. We are coming from North Carolina. We are staying on Sedona but will be in Flagstaff also going to Grand Canyon. I see Tombstones is making great beers any chance of getting their stuff in that area? Thanks for recommendation's.

Yeah in Flagstaff you can probably get Tombstone at Hops on Birch , its a tap house / bottle shop. Also Dark Sky Brewery in downtown Flagstaff is good too and a fun place to have drinks.

In Flagstaff you will be stuck with a lot of beers from the Northern AZ area like Tower Station and Grand Canyon brewery. Tombstone is known for making really great hazy IPA's out here and if you find them in Flagstaff then grab them. If you're into stouts then Dark Sky is a really good brewery for that and all of their other stuff is good too and you can get crowlers filled their too. A lot of the more popular breweries are in the Phoenix area and Tucson.

Just wanted to say hello. Recently moved my family to Gilbert from California, and have been checking out the local scene. Still lots to explore, but living here now, I have time. So far I've been to 12 West, Barrio's, Uncle Bears, Flying Basset (?) , and OHSO. Having visited here in the past, also been to San Tan, Arizona Wilderness, Papago, Four Peaks, over the years, though it's been many years for some of those. Hope to get to know the community more over time, anyhow, hope everyone has a great weekend, cheers!

You should definitely add Wren House in Phoenix to your list.

Tombstone is open for on-site consumption on our patio and porch, but not indoors.

Very excited to see Tombstone in the valley. Best brewery in the state (IMO). Wren House close second.

I really hope people turn up on Thursday to wish Dustin and Mike from Helio well. I can’t imagine how those guys are feeling having run a successful brewery and seeing their dream come to an end. I know from personal experience that closing down a brewery hurts. No matter the situation, even if they’re ultimately happy with the deal, there has to be a feeling of disappointment and even with the employees remaining the same, they must be feeling some anxiety too. I hope on Thursday AZ beer drinkers send them off in style.

For sure, very excited to have them in Phoenix. I agree they make one of the better IPA's in the state..

Smart move. Someone had to do it sooner rather than later. Thought Wren would make a bigger investment to expand and have more beers out in the local market. Tough times and tough decisions to be made in the current state of affairs. Happy to have them close by now.

Also hope it jump starts some more convo in this thread.

    Cheers!

Someone will have to let us know how the setup and selection is when they visit (especially given Covid limitations).
