"Sometimes, you just can't keep up with your goals and vision. The capital it takes to run an ever-growing business just isn't matching cash flow. Luckily, Greg Hess, and Mike Hess of Mike Hess Brewing Company - Arizona and us have decided to team up and merge our companies. In turn, they will be the major share-holder in Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co, LLC. They are a MUCH more established brewery, and better yet, a much more established brand. We will share our knowledge of the industry, and our passion for beer. Selling out? NO. This is only tightening the bond we have to our own vision. To the future!" - Jonathan Buford P.S. Buford made the Wilder-Hess joke before I did.
Probably just one of Buford's drunken posts... Nothing on either Hess nor AZ Wilderness facebook page about it. I really can't see this marriage working out if it wasn't a joke. Both companies are so very different.
Have a hard time believing this is anything but a prank. If not, well, uh, good luck? Hope AZW's business sense is sharper than mine, because I have a terribly hard time seeing the upside of joining up with Hess.
Yeah, when I first saw this I didn't think it made any sense at all in this stage of AZ Wilderness's life. I really do think it's a silly joke, perhaps as a pre-cursor to announcing a Hess/AZW collaboration beer.
