Lost Forty in Little Rock released their 2021 Nighty Night yesterday. I'm not quite sure if it was 2 versions or three. There is the barrel aged and the barrel aged vanilla.

Next weekend appears to be an Epic deal at Ozark in Rogers, 8th Anniversary. Didn't make it to social project, didn't feel up to it on Sunday. Some time soon I hope.

Made it to Social Project Brewing. They are killing it. 14 beers on Tap, 3 Imp Stouts & 7 IPAs on draft. Sampled about 8 different beers & I would say they are already in the top 3 if not higher in NW Arkansas Brewers. They had 6 different to go options. Most of their beers are one time releases supposedly. I think it is useful to have a flagship and couple of highly anticipated annual releases. But maybe I misunderstood what the bartender was telling me. I will be back again real soon!

I am planning on going to Ozark this weekend. Need to get up there early enough to hit up Onyx also.

I just wish they’d leave it in the barrels for more than a few weeks.

I definitely don’t mind rough edges, but the price should reflect the limited time/space taken up by such a laughably short barrel aging.

Just bought some beer in Oklahoma, same issue; Brewers want World Class Pricing for midlling to okay beer. Still I grab some every year.

Grabbed three different American Solera beers in LR this week. Had the DIPA and APA so far. Both were very good. I guess they'll be limited amounts in NW and at two locations in LR going forward.

Anybody tried out Lost Forty's Camp Taco? Looks like they took over the Rebel Kettle spot and created a taco/beer bar spot. I always stop in Little Rock and check out Lost Forty, or someplace around there for a bit (Stones Throw or even the Rock Town Distillery) when I can. Going to be passing through town again in a few weeks when I travel up to see family for Christmas.

Haven’t been, but I thought L40’s food started falling off a while back enough that I haven’t been there in a couple years. Maybe someone who has been can chime in. I will advise against going near that area during high traffic times. They are currently widening I30, and it sucks.

I’d like to chuck in a strong recommendation to check out Flyway in North Little Rock if you haven’t. Their food rips, and the beer varies from good to great. Get the gumbo cheese fries. Sounds gimmicky, but the gumbo is for real.

I haven't been the biggest fan of Flyway's beers, but I give them a try every once in a while. Always liked the food. Lost Forty has always had decent to really good food option IMO, definitely can be hit and miss in that department for me though.

Blah construction, might need to alter plans now...

Maybe good to great was overselling it a bit. I enjoy the Vienna Lager and Low Flock NEIPA, and I pretty much stick to that. Their food dominates, IMO.

For the best tacos in town, I’d go to La Pasadita or La Culpable (the one south of LR on I30).

New Province has released Bourbon Barrel Aged Cafe' Muy Especial Imperial Stout. If you aren't a fan of Cinnamon, it may not be your Huckleberry. Not crazy amounts, but there

I talked with one of the Brewers about this and was told 2 to 3 months.

Yeah, they posted about racking it onto barrels mid August for an October 23 release. That’s two months max when you account for packaging time.

For an annual hyped up release with this retail, it should be spending 2-3 months NOT in barrels. Look at BDCS, that extra time is letting the beer pick up more flavors from the barrel, not just from the spirit that was once inside.

These are just my opinions. I’m certainly not an expert.

I visited Natural State brewing yesterday ( 2nd time ). Short & sweet; nice location & look, beers are not that much of a draw. German styled beers, but not there flavor wise.
