I was at Ozark last Saturday & asked about BDCS. Bartender said it just wasn't ready yet. This release may happen in 2022 I guess:rolling_eyes:

Not ready? Supply chain issues are also affecting the passage of time!

Something doesn't sound right about this...

Agreed. We are 4 months past normal release time, and it’s not ready? Maybe they’re trying to handle a problem with it.

    Definitely fishy.

Late comment on this, but yeah Fassler is just OK IMO. The one in Little Rock, haven't been to the one Tulsa. Sausages and pretzels are fine, but really how can you screw that up ha. A decent selection of local beers, but think the German imports could be better for this kind of concept, and its a huge and over loud place with way to many TV's and bad music playing (well IMO on that front ha). I do like James E McNelies in Tulsa (I think they are the same ownership, and have been many years ago), Fassler is far from a bad spot just not my favorite for an Americanized German Beer Hall concept.

Oh, and I forgot to mention this after my last trip through Little Rock. A newish spot opened in North Little Rock, Brood & Barely. This is Flyway Brewing's own gastropub. I was just walking around downtown there and came across it. The place was jam packed. So I only had a quick beer at the bar and left. Though, about 12 taps, all from Flyway and seem to be unique to the restaurant though. Had a slow pour Pils, need to have it again but from memory decent. Other taps I noticed are a traditional Hefe, and some kind of barrel aged barleywine. Food looked awesome. I added it to the database here but didn't review it. Need to make a proper visit next time I stop in town, which will probably be around Christmas.

Anyway, anybody in the area that doesn't know about the spot, there you go.

Yikes. Our scene (at least central AR) is a sad state of affairs, in my opinion. People consume mediocrity just because it’s local, and competition is basically nonexistent.

I’m probably just salty and jaded, to be fair.

Your thoughts mirror mine. There are few good ones in Rogers and Bentonville, the rest...

I was very impressed with the Rogers/Bentonville offerings to be honest.

In the interest of fairness, I just tried Point Remove's Native Lager & rated it a 3.76 overall. I will still stick to singles until I find one worthy of larger scale purchase.

    Flyway’s Oktoberfest (märzen) is fantastic.
