Arkansas (2023)

I keep forgetting about this thread now that they split the regional forums up again. Though on my semi occasional travels to Little Rock, stopped at Lost Forty Brewery again. Picked up their Saison Victoria, which is excellent.

 

I live in Tulsa and I'm always looking for your incite on Northwest Arkansas so it's not solely for your own amusement. I plan on making a trip there in the next couple of weeks looking to hit up a couple of breweries.

 

Yep. Went to a liquor store in Bentenville and they had it for a dollar cheaper a 4 pack than the brewery. Bought two. Had it on tap at Ozark and it's drinking good. Next, went to Mad Rooster Brewery in Fayetteville. Had their Deranged Ego and Barrel Aged Deranged Ego. Decent beers and nice spot to have them. Any other place in Fayetteville worth going to?

 

Goose Islands Bourbon County is scheduled to hit the stores in Little Rock Friday November 24th. Some stores have limited and some don't. I'm headed out now to get mine!

 

I've chased BDCS and, other Ozark stuff because a childhood friend lives very close, but I don't like pestering him every year.

Also, I spent a f***ton of money on stouts this month anyways.

 

I'll be driving through Little Rock tomorrow, as is usual when I'm traveling to see family in Illinois. It is my half way stop ha. So, like usual will be going to Lost Forty, probably stop at Rock Town Distillery, as they make a great Gin my Mom and I like. There is also a pizza spot next to Rock Town that I have never been to, so might check it out. Called Raduno. Website says they have a Gotahold Saison on tap, which if accurate I'll be looking forward to trying that. I will report back

 

I would definitely recommend Raduno if in Little Rock. Chimay Cinq Cents, and Peroni, to Gotahold, Stone, and a Lost Forty on tap. About 20 taps in all. The Gotahold Tantivy Saison was excellent, as was the pizza. Kind of a Neapolitian style, but a more crispy crust.
