Figured I would throw a thread up for discussion regarding bourbon county in Arkansas. I'm located in NW Arkansas but figured the allocations would be similar for most of the state. Last year we only got regular in both Washington and Benton counties. Washington county (Springdale, Fayetteville) had it for sale on the Friday after thanksgiving, while Benton County (Rogers, Bentonville) received their allocations about 2 weeks after Washington county. This year I'm hearing that Benton County will see both a good amount of regular and barleywine, although my source had said that the barleywine had not shown up to the distributor as of early last week. Feel free to chime in!
I will definitely be looking casually. KBS sat on the shelf for a bit in some of the Little Rock suburbs, so I would think Bourbon County will be at least that easy to come by. Good luck to all three of us. Where are all the AR beer people?
New NWA habitant, here. Hoping for some bcbs. Moved from northern Illinois so you know I'll be hitting up many locations for the good stuff! Heartbroken to hear my old go to liquor store is getting all 6 variants in. It's the only reason I want to go shopping on Black Friday. Any sure fire ways to get some? Btw liquor world in Fayetteville has a ton of barrel aged narwhal. Good stuff
Should definitely be able to get some BCBS, we've never seen any of the variants around here. However BCBS hung around for a few weeks at some places last year. Liquor World should get plenty. Macadoodles in Springdale should also get a good amount. In Benton County, Walton and Guess Who? will also get a good amount. I'm really surprised at the amount of BA Narwhal that showed up, seeing how we didn't see any of it last year. Happy hunting!
Awesome! Yeah they have a ton of narwhal which is awesome because I've never had it before and makes for a solid trade for my friends up north in the hunt for some bcbs variants. I've had coffee, barleywine, and normal. Honestly I used to prefer just plain bcbs, but once I had a year old barleywine and my palate evolved I've been wanting the rest of them, haha. I'll post here if I've spotted any of the variants. Happy hunting!

Hey guys I just picked up 6 regulars from Ace Liquor in Cabot. They had just got them in this morning and were entering them in the computer as I was walking in. Wish they had some variants but I'm still pretty excited!

That is usually a nice place to look. Some times you luck out...I remember scoring some nice stuff up at Ft. Leavenworth when I was working in KC, all the off-base places were cleaned out ( a Lovechild variant if memory serves me ).
