At least new rumor to me. Word on the street is that 2 big National Craft brewers will be adding AR to their footprints to start 2014.

Dogfish Head and Sweetwater are supposedly front runner but Lagunitas and Stone may also be in the running from what I heard.

Good news is AR is really such a small market that the big craft houses could add without straining themselves too much. Bad news is that AR is so small that probably not getting much attention.

I'd be a lot happier if it was Bell's and Terrapin coming to AR but DFH and Sweetwater will be welcome additions to growing distro in the AR.

I'm headed for a move to AR from CT pretty soon and I've gotten scared by the "beer desert" threads! This is welcome news. Of the above I'd choose Lagunitas and Bell's but any of the mentioned would be a welcome addition. The BA "seekabrew" map tells me that Green Flash gets some distro in AR. Any truth to that?

Man I'd be happy with any new distribution we could get.

Green Flash is here and in pretty decent supply for the most part. I think 2014 will only bring good things as the most economically advanced and growing counties, Benton, went "wet" in early 2013 and things are starting to explode. I've been here for 2 years now from MI and every month or two things are getting better. 4 new breweries in 2 years just in NWA and Little Rock really going strong as well.

Where? If you end up in NWA, Missouri's beer situation is so much better & will scratch most itches the improving AR market doesn't provide, most likely...

I live in Fayetteville, and we have a pretty good selection. I'd love to see Stone and Lagunitas hit the shelves.

Depends on where you move to in Arkansas , Im 30 minutes from Missouri where I can buy FW , Stone , Bells , Founders ,Bear Republic , Great Divide and lots of other great stuff , I can also be in Memphis in under an hour where I can get Oskar Blues , bought 2 cases of BCBS this year and lots of other great brews , so depends on where you live , if it's Little Rock that sucks , hard to land any decent beer there and a long drive to get any

A few new beers would be nice. We are not totally without, though. A lot of my beer comes from Missouri, so if your are in NW AR its a short trip. Or, do like I do and catch someone going to Branson! Little Rock has a few high end bottle shops with pretty good selections. These selections are growing, too. You can get New Belgium, Boulevard, Sierra Nevada, Goose Island, Breckenridge, Abita, North Coast, SA, and many more. And not to forget Little Rock's own Diamond Bear! Hot Springs has a couple of well stocked stores, too. And a new brew house! Little Rock has a Flying Saucer too, with a couple hundred beers on the menu.

You'll be in great shape then. Plenty of new breweries started up & a vastly improved beer scene compared to when I moved here 5 years ago. Plus Bells, Founders, Deschutes & many others just a short drive to the north!

You may see Founders at some point in 2014 too!! DFH, Sweetwater, Stone, Lagunitas and Founders is a great list of awesome breweries. AR may not be the beer desert it once was for too much longer.

Hope it's okay to revive a rather dead thread, but have there been any updates on these rumors? DFH, Sweetwater, Stone or Lagunitas would be a blessing here.

Granted, I only live about 20 miles from Branson (which has a superb selection) but some days 20 miles is 20 miles too far

This should be happening soon. I spoke with one of my local shops and they told me to expect stock within the next 30 days.

I've heard rumors of Victory, and Coop Ale Works should be arriving later this summer.

The F5 IPA & DNR are nice additions to be sure. Victory, I've pretty liked/loved every beer I've tried. Fingers crossed...

Apparently Magic Hat is also being added. The store I go to said they will start shelving it at the same time as Founders: next week.
