    Hey guys,

I'll be traveling to Arlington VA and Richmond in late January. I used to live in the area but it's been a few years. I used to go to lost dog, whole foods, giant, and Harris teeter in Arlington and a grocery store with market in the name in downtown Richmond but was wondering what places I should hit up while there?

    Thanks

Arlington, Arrowine, K-1, Lost Dog(s), Whole Foods. Westover too, but they are about 30% or more expensive then anyone else around.

+1 on the Arlington shops listed. In Richmond, I've had good luck with both Once Upon A Vine shops. Hardywood and Strangeways breweries are both nearby OUAV North and definitely worth a visit as well.

Following up on the Arlington recommendations, this is a bit hit-or-miss, but there's a small place called Grateful Wine right across the street from the Whole Foods in Clarendon. I wouldn't go too far out of my way for it, but it might be worth a look if you go to that WF.

Dominion Wine and Beer in Falls Church would be worth a shot

Richmond: Saison Market, Once Upon a Vine (there are two locations, North and South), Corks and Kegs, Union Market, and the Total Wine locations are usually pretty good. Southern Season is not bad. And if you can make it out to the Short Pump area, Whole Foods.
