Not true. Two batches of lambic are added to the same fruit in the barrels to extract maximum flavor from the fruit and barrels. 2 batches of first use and 2 batches of second use lambics are blended and often a newer batch of young lambic is also added to help restart fermentation for bottle conditioning.

Point of fact: Lay your corked bottles on their side because I say so.
    End of arguement

Mainly the reason for storing it on it's side would be to maintain the integrity of the cork. Contact with liquid to cork will keep moisture on the cork to keep it from shrinking, which will maintain an airtight seal. That is why you store age worthy wines on their sides as well as Champagnes and sparkling wines.

Actually, they were packed into boxes and stored on their sides. All 3f boxes, and those from Cantillon for that matter, are built so that 6x 750ml bottles can be transported and stored on their sides. Only 375ml bottles are packed upright (for whatever reason - maybe this is their way of saying it doesn't matter).

In the box. That's what they're built for.

Oh. I see. Well, all 3f and all Cantillon 750s are packaged into boxes of six and laid on their sides. Pretty much all 750ml lambic/gueuze are packaged and sold this way. They are very convenient for storing purposes. Belive what you will, but I don't think this deliberate packaging is a coincidence either. They've seen the 12x upright bottle boxes before.

I really didn't think they were.
Interleaving the bottles makes the box take up less space per bottle. Plus shipping in 6's means you can hit more stores with the same number of bottles, and I've never seen an upright 6-bottle shipper, with the exception of the Firestone Anniversary boxes, which are wooden. Besides, if this were actually something they cared about they'd ship the 375's on their side and they don't.
    This isn't true.

Did you read the part of the link where it says that an international body of champagne experts did a large-scale experiment and found that aging on the side is worse, and gave reasons? Because that's how so.

No, what you said just isn't true. That being the explanation for aging wine on its side is irrelevant, and the part about champagne is false.

    Irrelevant and truth are different?

So does this mean that lost abbey beer should be stored on its side, and all others should be stored upright?

Who ships 375s upright? The case of Hanssens Oude Gueuze I bought had them on their sides, and when I bought some Golden Blend at 3F earlier this year they were in similar 12-bottle, side-storage boxes.

I have personally seen 3F, Cantillon, Girardin and De Cam 375s only upright in 12 bottle boxes.

Me too. Sometimes they're in twenty-bottle plastic crates. Upright. This is in Europe at least.

In the US they're in 12-bottle cardboard upright cases. The plastic ones are much more awesome.
