So I realize I could post this in ISO:FT and see what it gets, but this is the help section so I'll ask here. What kind of things would this trade for? In particular, one-off 'loons or Drie Fonteinens. 1:1 for Don Q? Box set for J&J Roze and Blauw?

BTW- I don't have a box set, I'm just curious as to its value. I can't find anything via the search function about trades that have gone down. What have you guys traded for a set of the seasons?

I highly doubt anyone would give up any Don Q or J&J sets for an Armand'4 box right now. They are still available on atleast a couple sites. Give it a few years and yeah, maybe. No idea what the going rate is for one now, maybe someone will chime in.

You can just buy the box set from the internet so there is really no rarity at this point. Expensive? Yes. Rare? Not yet.

Also the people who have the big lambic hitters will almost definitely have some Armand's in their cellar.

Pretty much what I figured. 500 made. Curious to see where this goes in 5 years.

When saw that item, the first thing I thought was 500 wooden boxes made. It seems like everyone I know has Armands.

Definitely not worth a penny more than what you can buy it for at the moment. Also, it costs what it costs shipped by itself- unlike the singles, there's no large order you need to place to justify the shipping costs. So I don't really understand why anybody would trade for this instead of buying it for themselves.

As for long term value... I think this is a case where "everybody" is holding onto the Armand series in the hopes that it turns into a great white whale. Which will make it never become a whale. Realistically, releases like this are going to have more in common with the baseball card market after everybody started saving everything. You'll never see more than a minimal increase in value down the road.

Awesome, that is pretty much what I was looking for. Great insight

I think you're likely right. But then again, even just going $4$ down the road, it's probably a decent piece of trade bait for five years down the road when someone who didn't know they wanted it now wants to trade for it.

Can we get this going again? Recent trades for the set as a whole? Thanks for any help

Believe Ann went for an Armand 4 set when it came out earlier this year. I traded a Armand 4 set for Derivation B2 + La Fosse + Thicket + Stl locals.
