Well, I am looking forward to it...went last year on a Sunday and had some great pours.

Armsby Abby is the best beer destination in the state. Their food is so good that it might possibly be better than their beer selection.

Last year I had a pulled pork sandwich for Stoutfest that I still think about to this day being paired with KBS, HF Birth of a Tragedy, Trillium Pot & Kettle among others.

Not to be missed and not for the faint-of-heart!

Good Morning and CBS. Gonna be fun.

Luckily I got tickets to the breakfast starting that morning. Talk about an epic beer day....

It's been a great event every year. The roast beef hash last year was an eye opener as well. Looking forward to it.

when do they generally pick days and times for each on the list? supposed to go to the casino for a friend's birthday - but if I can sneak this and treehouse in, it would be fantastic.

Going to the breakfast as well. The stout line-up looks amazing though I wish the food menu had a more breakfasty feel to it (seems to be missing a sweeter course such as some kicked up pancakes, waffles, french toast, etc). Still looks very good though...

That said, if the opening stout line up is that good, I can't imagine what the 'mystery stouts' will be for the breakfast on Saturday. The only things I can think of that aren't already on the list, either aren't as exciting to me or fall under 'whale' status and could be long shots (especially if the brewers will be there).

It's also nice that they do half pours for events like this typically. It lets you try lots of stuff without ending up under the table if you do it right.

I am very excited to try Good Morning, this year's CBS, Night and Day, and Everett for the first time.

Last year I was there for the breakfast and didn't leave til 5pm (we cashed out 4 times). It was a good day.

I may be wrong, but my impression was that this list was the opening line-up for Saturday following the breakfast. There are apparently still some things that they will be tapping that aren't on the list.

I would be surprised if the Good Morning lasted more than a few hours (unless they are tapping multiple kegs). In past years, they had some stuff that they tapped on both days (such as KBS).

The list is just a list of stouts they have available and not necessarily for either day in particular. I remember last year they posted they had some Hoppin' Frog Boris (which I love) and it never made the rotation but was posted before the event.

It's more of a 'moving target' which makes it that much more fun and exciting to show up and see what's on the menu!

if that is the sat list, jesus. I just have seen generally, the heavy hitters seem to tap later in the day most events. I'd love to go - but it's out of the way of my otherwise 90 min drive. would add probably at least an hr, so gonna need more than a whim. hopefully they post something - even if it's not every single one. *fingers crossed amazing list though.

Last year, they had some heavy hitters on from the get go. From what I can remember having (after the breakfast):

    KBS (leftover from the breakfast)
    BA Damon
    Double Shot
    Parabola
    Imperial Doughnut Break
    Peche Mortel

I remember the KBS going within 30 minutes of the end of the breakfast (since much of it was served as part of it). I think Double Shot went fairly quick too.

+1 attending the breakfast. (And happily keeping my seat). I can't wait. I would've bet Nate and Good Morning would've been one of the breakfast ' big 3 but Good Morning is listed in the Stoutfest list instead. I'm happy to be wrong but damn, makes you wonder who those 3 will be now?

I'm not a stout guy but I might need to attend this. For those that have attended in the past, how tough is it to get in midday on Saturday?

Line usually starts forming around 10AM and they open the doors to the public around 12:00-12:30 after the breakfast is finished and people start to cash out from that. I heard that they were going to try and be a little more strict about keeping to a certain headcount limit at all times, which could slow the line down a bit.

I am ecstatic to get seats for this. I've never been but I love stouts oh so much. Armsby Abbey can do no wrong.

FYI guys, they do a follow-up on Sunday from 10-3... That's what I'll be hitting up. Last year I did so as well. Line started at 9:30 and I was one of the first 10 people in. Snagged KBS and I believe BA Damon by Hill. It's possible!
