Nope they aren't. That thought crossed my mind, too, so I had a look all around, as it's easy to see the bottles.

Thanks. I don't usually get to that area. I'm more north of Boston around Andover.

Console yourself with the fact that, although you had to pay $9 each for them, we never see Prairie Bomb at all in Western Mass.

Didn't get the box set yet but went to Pizza Port OB on Saturday and had Lukcy Basartd on tap. It was actually really great. Probably my favorite of all the Bastards.

Had ba on tap. Not bad, but wouldn't have known it was a ba beer if i didn't order it.

I paid 22 or 24 at bevmo. Went to 2 costcos and total wine and they didn't have it. Either way $6 each is a good price. But did find almanac at Costco for $7!

I've never seen a receipt with the bottle sales on it. We have milk bottle deposits of $2 here in MD for the local stuff, but I had no idea you had to pay that on regular glass bottles. I thought that part of the label just meant each bottle was worth 5 cents at a recycling place (which is still true). I guess I should have realized that it went both ways.

And in Michigan it's 10 cents!

As someone that recycles everything I can, the 'forced' trips back to the store are a bit obnoxious (now that I know that you can't take craft beer bottles back to a "normal" store that doesn't sell those brands).

Relating back to the topic, I have yet to see this in Southeast Michigan. I'm not sure if I already missed the boat.

Seems that Founder's hates SE MI for some reason. We get shafted on damn near every "rare" release from those guys

No, you haven't. I've been looking for it for the past week or so (primarily in the Ann Arbor area) and nobody seems to have even heard of this release.

If anyone else has seen it in SE Michigan, I'd love to know where. Thanks in advance.

What is the shelf life of the different Bastard brews in the box? I grabbed a box tonight, wondering if any of them should be consumed sooner rather than later (I mean, for reasons other than the fact that they'll be delicious).

If you notice the dates on the bottle necks, Lukcy is the only one which has an Enjoy by date. It's dry hopped. It should be consumed sooner than later. Although if you've not had Arrogant Bastard yet I'd recommend having that one first so you can have a baseline to compare the others.

I remember some sierra nevada beer camp boxes I opened at my buddy's mom & pop and somebody had swapped out the cans and tossed in some of the other bottles. people can be funny sometimes

Thanks! I have had AB but not the other three. AB was my introduction to Stone, thanks to my girlfriend (she's a good woman!).

Just finished the BA Arrogant Bastard...while glad to try it, wasn't impressed at all. I'd rather drink good ole DB over this.

I was in Costco(CalExpo) on Sunday and didn't see it.But since I didn't read this until today I wouldn't have known to look or would have thought it was the original box set.Since it was on Sale 10-27 I'm figuring my Bevmo may get it by Thanksgiving. :astonished:

I'd also drink the arrogant sooner than later since its highly hopped and I prefer it fresh. The double bastard is good to try now and good to age as well. Bourbon barrel is a mystery.
