Stone used that hop judiciously in brewing that particular beer. The beer very much tasted like a Pilsner with a very prominent Pilsner Malt backbone.

I suppose we will have to wait and see what this new beer tastes like.

    Cheers!

Dear God I hope not. I got a smoky/bacony flavor on first sips for that beer that ruined it for me.

Agreed. Plus the whole packaging and name together make it seem like a very "bro" beer. Maybe that's how I perceive it in the San Diego market at least. Either way I bet it'll be tasty.

Agreed. Just calling it "Arrogant Pilsner" would be majorly preferable.

So it's $8 a six pack for 16oz cans? I can only hope it's $10 or less here. $8 and in drinking this every day all year.

I can't buy too many $32 cases of 12oz here that's good let alone 16oz

    Enjoy

I'll give it a try and I'm also hoping it will be available in bottles.

Might be sweeter than the average Pils.

I dont know if its $8. I just know arrogant bastard is coming in 6 packs of 16 oz cans. I'd imagine it would be at least $10 or $12 in New England. Still a great price compared to $5-6 a bomber.

Do you remember the ABV on that beer?

This is definitely true, but given Stone's track record, I would doubt that. Also, 5.8% is Maerzen strength, so if it was sweeter rather hoppier, it may trend towards a different style in my opinion.

I never knew the ABV; it was served on draft.

    Cheers!

I'm curious and am definitely interested in giving this a go.
I wonder if their German venture inspired this?

Inspired it, or inspired them to show the Germans "how it should be done?"

I still haven't seen the beer in the BA listings or either Stone web site, when is it due out?
