I have an art show tomorrow and I'm planning on bring some beer for the people who come to enjoy. What do you guys think would be a good option? Something easy to drink. Thanks!
Low ABV pale ale such as Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale or Stoudts APA. Enough flavor for those used to "craft" beer but not so intense that new kids will be totally put off. You want a viewing with refreshments not a Beer party in an art filled room.
I'm an artist too and I find that our kind are typically either PBR or wine drinkers. I say go with something local or maybe some Rodenbach Grand Cru.
A 1/6 or 1/4 bbl of something local and light. A Pils, Kolsch, or Wit. That's the type of the local galleries here do during the monthly art walk.
A few years ago, our local brewer Smartmouth did a Berlinerweisse called... Artmouth. For some museum function. It was only at the museum so I missed it.
A play on words, as well as a very nice low gravity sipper: Weyerbacher Tarte Nouveau 3.9% with lactic acidity, and just might even appeal to the wine drinkers.
Do you want people focusing more on the beer (social gathering in a gallery), or more on the work (a showing with refreshments)?
