I just added my review of Ascension from Two Beers, and was a bit surprised that mine was the first. It's an 18% Triple IPA. Anyone else had this?

Yes. I remember it being super hot, but a bit like Evo with some tropical fruitiness. Had it at Uber next to the one from (I believe) Wingman, which was a Belgian Triple IPA around 16%. Where did you try it?

I remember passing on it at the SIB because I didn't want to get wasted. How is it available? It's time to give it a shot if I run across it somewhere.

It's been on tap at The Green Frog here in Tha Ham since a brewers night a couple weeks ago. I suspect it probably doesn't show outside the brewery that often. While it had certainly had an alcohol bite, it hasn't really felt like an 18% beer the 3-4 times I've had it. I'm at the Frog now, so I may get another in a bit.

Had this at the Portland International Beerfest last summer. A Canadian group we ran into told us their friend didn't know the ABV, which I thought was pretty well hidden, and used all of her tokens for this beer. After about 20 min she was throwing up everywhere. Good times at the PIB.

Good beer though, a solid offering from a brewery I normally pass over.

Also had this at the PIB. As I recall, this was a clone of DFH 120.
