If possible, sit at the bar at Curate. It's a great show, wonderful food, and good conversation abounds.

And the state that produces the most shitty beer per capita is Vermont.

Good one homer! And the largest state by land mass with shitty beer is California.

Where and when did I say NC produces the greatest beer?

It just annoys the crap out of me when people go "NC beer sucks because beer advocate and trade value say so."

You said something about VT and shitty beer trying to be cute apparently, although I didn't get the joke. And I give 2 shits about what BA says about NC beer, I've had enough of it to make my own opinion and not have to rely on homers hyping average local beer.

I don't get your correlation between those 2 posts.....

Your skinny jeans aren't allowing blood to your brain area I believe.

I thought that we were talking about Asheville. Damn, someone must have changed the channel on my computer or something.

Looking forward to try both Sweeten Creek (the Justices from Highland) AND Bhramari Brewhouse, which conveniently opens this weekend.

I love going to Ashevile in January. Run of the place.

This is an Asheville thread. We are all about the use of the search function.

I'd agree with your list, nothing at Altamont that made me put them on my 'must come back list'. Haven't been to OneWorld (wife can't deal with the stairs) but daughter reports nothing that will call her back. Twin Leaf, I have some really good beer there, but most times I find it lacking. Haven't been to the LAB in a year or better. I have 'heard' they are getting better, and will try again next time we hit the parking space lottery.

Biltmore even has their own 'branded' beer, but they don't make it, it is brewed for them by one of the local breweries.

To do Biltmore and the brew scene here, you need a week at least (one day for Biltmore). Sierra Nevada is a must see, and by spring New Belgium should be open, plus 20 or so other craft breweries.

For the record, Sweeten Creek is outstanding. Delicious brown and porter - just straightforward and delicious. Nice pale. Simple and excellent representations of their styles. The sandwiches were other level. I'd go back in a second.

Biltmore beers are brewed by Highland.
