Hey guys. Going to be staying in a cabin Feb 5-9. So far: Wicked Weed, Bruisin Ales, Appalachian Vintner...any other places you guys can recommend would be great! Looking mainly for bottle shops

Hmm, I've had a shift recently in my grading of breweries on the South Slope (Wicked Weed area). I think I would take you to Hi-Wire Brewing. They're doing some good brews currently, and in my opinion have had a resurgence putting them ahead of some of my regular stops like Greenman and Burial, but hit those up as well.

As far as bottle shops, really those two are it for Asheville.

Weinhaus isn't too bad for bottles either and close enough to all the downtown action to hit. But I agree, AV blows them away and is a must go to.

Make the trek out to Sierra Nevada brewery in Mills River. I was able to get Barrel Aged Narwhale and Barrel Aged Torpedo.

This. I thought the tour was well worth the trip down there. You need to make a reservation for the tour, though probably not too far in advance.

I wanted to do a tour, but there were no spots available a month before I went to make our reservation. It was probably because it was the day after Christmas. Next year I will do the tour.

Well, next year, erm.. what am I saying, this year in the next few months the pub/tasting room will be open. No need to "tour" per se. In fact, that Feb 5-9 date will be real close to the opening date I believe.
