We will be in Asheville today and tomorrow. What are some dog friendly places for good beer and food? Thanks in advance!

White Duck (the one in the River Arts District, I'm not sure about the one downtown) has great food, and outdoor seating, and is dog friendly. You could hit the Wedge brewery before or after, it's just a couple minutes away, and has a ton of cool outdoor seating areas. Wicked Weed allows dogs outside up front by the main entrance, and downstairs (the bar downstairs doesn't open until 3pm on weekdays). There are always 3-4 (or more) dogs hanging out at Green Man. Burial is dog friendly, with great beer, and a cool new outdoor area. I actually don't know of anyplace in AVL that's specifically NOT dog friendly--we moved here a couple years ago and it's kind of crazy to me how dog friendly just about everyplace is.

It is more than "kind of crazy" it is just downright ridiculous and against health code in many cases......leave the dam mutts at home !

Any eatery with an outdoor sitting area, it probably won't be a problem in Asheville with a dog. Personally, I don't like dogs, but having spent time in Europe, two things I had to get used to. 1. Restaurants will sit total strangers at your table if there are seats available at your table. 2. These strangers may have dogs who will sit with their muzzles 2" from your plate.

We ended up at Ben's Tune Up Beirgarten and then Rhubarb. Good beer, good food, everyone loved our dogs (yellow lab and a black lab mix), Good times!

People don't like dogs? That's basically inhuman! Dogs have taught me more than anyone else.
