A couple of us Atlanta BA's are heading into town for the upcoming weekend. Any can't miss activities or tappings we should know about? I saw there was a local breweries festival in Morganton on Saturday. Is anyone aware of a draft list for that event?

    Thanks in advance-

Hey, y'all. Todd here, brewer at Fonta Flora Brewery. I will be posting a real draught list soon but here is a sneak peek of what you can expect...

Brutus: Foraged Tart Farmhouse Saison (Bottle Release and Draught)
Carolina Custard: White Wine Barrel Aged Appalachian Wild Ale Fermented w. Paw Paw Fruit (Bottle Release and Draught)
Echoview Estate Ale: Appalachian Style Tripel (First Ever Certified Appalachian Grown Beer)
Southern Saison: NC Grain Saison w. Charleston Black Tea and Organic Lemon Zest
Mega Flora: NC Grain SUPER Saison
Micro Flora: NC Grain Table Saison
Strawberry Table: Table Saison aged on Local Strawberries
Alpha vs. Beta Carotene: Local Carrot IPA
Zen: Summer Ale aged on Organic Jasmine Green Tea
    Hop Beard: Mountain Man IPA
House Made Organic Lemonade: Craft Shandy's Y'all!

More to come and the festival itself will be filled with amazing one of a kind, truly LOCAL beer from 25 amazing North Caroline breweries. Hope this helps!

Those are some strange/bizarre sounding beers.

Burial brewing just released their Donut Skillet Stout in cans last weekend. They might have some left at the brewery or they may be in local beer shops by then. Worth grabbing if you see some, it's good stuff.

I wish i could make it this weekend but cant. However, i tried the Brutus this past weekend and loved it. Definitely my favorite Fonta Flora brew.

Sounds like NC version of Tired Hands, really not that weird.

We love Tired Hands and also dont think we are all that weird. Just making cool craft beers with local ingredients!

Yeah, didn't sound weird to me either. Funky as in terribly interesting. I'd love to try most of the ones you mentioned.
Alas, I am fur, fur away!
