I was at Wicked Weed last night at 7pm, there were a couple of kids running around downstairs and it wasn't that crowded. The only time I would probably refrain down stairs would be fri night or weekends when it is most crowded, but that is personal, I would have just enjoyed it more sans my kid at his kid age (he's an adult now).

The Wedge is basically the taproom bar (no seating) and outside communal picnic tables - with a food truck. It was busy with families, kids and dogs.

Thirsty Monk is a bar but it is kid friendly depending on when you go. They actually used to do a baby and beer night on Tuesday when they would set baby gates up and toddlers would crawl around. They don't do that anymore though.

Barley's is very kid friendly. Wicked Weed, for the most part, is very kid friendly. It can get very packed, and that would be my only hesitation. Wicked Weed is actually my kids favorite place to go for dinner.

Burial is also kid friendly. The owners have young kids, and actually some toys for them to play with

The Wedge is the least kid friendly place out of all of them. They have actually been extremely rude to my family as well as many others that I know about kids.

Overall, Asheville is extremely kid friendly to a certain point in the night.

Pretty much this. I'd say to be more specific about #4 is Green Man and Wicked Weed.

You have all been very helpful. Thank you. I think I'll substitute burial for wedge based on your advice.

I know it's not exactly Asheville, but does Fonta Flora have growlers available at the brewery?
