    Visiting Asheville Feb. 6-8. The lady and I will definitely try to visit the WW Funkatorium (and perhaps the other location as well). I would like to try to hit at least one other brewery. Any recommendations?

    I am familiar with Green Man, but that's about it.

    Oh, and we'll be getting our asses rocked by Umphrey's McGee while there.

    I will be at that show as well. Id say try out burial or one world. Both solid.

    Green Man or Burial for beer, you can't do Asheville without a stop at 12 Bones and a fresh Shiva Ipa.

    The other nice thing about visiting Ashville is that its just a fairly short drive south to Sierra Nevada(mills river) and Oskar Blues(Brevard)

    Lotus Fri, Umphrey's Sat, Asheville breweries all weekend? Oh hell yeah! Don't know my schedule yet, but if I'm not working that weekend it looks like an Asheville trip is in my future.

    Burial is a must stop IMHO. Some very creative and very well made beers. A lot more room now that they have expanded. Check the hours though before you go...they close earlier than most breweries on the south slope.

    +++ They have a giant mural of Sloth from Goonies and Burt Reynolds!

    Good choices - just note the differing hours. The Thirsty Monk has an excellent Belgian bar downstairs.

    I'm surprised there aren't more suggestions for Wicked Weed. IF UM is playing Orange Peel, WW is basically next door. They have pretty decent food options as well. But damn that Funkatorium is what's up. Sounds like a baller weekend for sure!!!

    I mentioned in my original post that I was already going to hit the WW locations, so was asking for suggestions on OTHER breweries to check out. That is why no one is bringing them up. I have been to original location, but not the Funkatorium. I am not educated on sours, which seem to be all the rage, so I am going to dive in at WW and if I don't like theirs, I think that'll give me an idea of where I stand on 'em.

    They are actually playing the US Cellular arena next door to the Wolfe this year. I saw them at the Wolfe last year, it was awesome.
