One thing is for sure: it's gonna be packed, shoulder to shoulder. It really would be inappropriate to have this in Westland, but I wish it was there anyway.
I had to read this twice because I thought Bells was doing a tap-takeover for Ashley from Holidays 30th which is almost this week and I was really impressed. Hahaha
After the last Founders event, I have pretty much sworn off Ashleys but it looks like the timed releases are reasonably priced - $6.50 for 10-ounce pours I may make it there, depends on how swamped I am at work.
I'll be there for the Bell's 101 seminar / cheese pairing, and probably the rest of the evening. For anyone curious, the taplist for the day includes: Amber Ale Ashley's 30th Anniversary Ale Best Brown Ale Captain Spontaneous Dry-hopped Pale Ale Cherry Stout Harry Magill's Spiced Stout Hell Hath No Fury Ale Hopslam Ale Hopsoulution DIPA Kalamazoo Stout Lager of the Lakes Midwestern Pale Ale Oarsman Ale Oatmeal Stout Porter Raspberry Ale Red Nose ESB Roundhouse Imperial Red Ale Smitten Golden Rye Ale Smoked Vienna Lager Sparkling Ale Special Double Cream Stout Third Coast Beer Third Coast Old Ale Two-Hearted Ale Winter White Ale Le Batteur Ale Le Pianiste Ale Le Contrabassiste Ale This One Goes to 11 Ale Bourbon Barrel Kalamazoo Stout (6:30pm) Bourbon Barrel Batch 9000 (7:15pm) Bourbon Barrel Cherry Stout (8:00pm)
Just saw a couple of changes on their Facebook, most notable is Black Note in place of BB Kalamazoo Stout.
I'm sure this will be a fun event...With the amount of people there, I wouldn't say that average beer geek would go out of their way to attend this event. No emotions a typical afternoon at Bell's wouldn't remedy, besides frustration.
