Another craft brewer that got some good TV press is the Ashton Brewing Company. The little village of Ashton is just outside the western boundary of Ottawa. A local CTV program, Regional Contact, did a segment on it last Sunday. ABC is a British style pub, with wooden beams, fireplace, cozy atmosphere, and good beer. They have a contract with the local Hogs Back Brewery to make specialty beers on site, and of course, it's all good stuff. I like the Hogs Back bottled beer, and am glad to see more specialty brews on the horizon. It's a bit far from my place as I live in the east end of town, but I will make the pilgramage soon.
