I once brought 2 cases of homebrew to my friends house and went away for a week. I told my friends they could drink it but I didn't expect all of it to be gone by the time I got back... I didn't even get to try what they all agreed was my best homebrew ever.

Thankfully my GF likes sours and I do not, she does not like any of the beers I have in the fridge so no worries that I will open one of her Petrus oak aged and no worries that she will open any of my stuff

fortunately enough for my beer cellar, my current girlfriend doesn't drink. my previous girlfriend was considerate enough to either always wait for me or ask to see if i care if she drinks something without me.

my brother on the other hand… lol actually he knows my cellar is off limits until i decide to bring something out, but if it's in the fridge it's open hunting season. luckily for him i'm always in the mood to crack open a few bottles when he visits.

his girlfriend bought me a beachwood touvarish and was hanging onto it for me and he drank it. she also got me a bruery windowsill, but she was smart enough to hide that one lol. he's like a rabid mongoose or something

2011 750 ml Cantillon Lambic and a batch 1 Bruery Sour In The Rye with Kumquats while I was passed out. The only bottle of Cantillon I've ever owned, and one of my all time favorite beers (SITR w Kumquats)

Tonight I enjoyed my evening by drinking a Pliny and then drinking my first Velvet Merkin. Great beers. After lurking on a few beer forums, I had a craving for a nice sour beer. I was 100% sure I had an Almanac Farmer's Reserve Dogpatch Sour in my fridge. The girl I am dating bought that beer just for me and I have been waiting for the right time to try it. When I get to my fridge I could not find it for the life of me. It seemed to have disappeared into thin air! I live with my family and they are not ones for drinking my beer, or any beer at all... I ended up popping open a bottle of Supplication to fulfill my craving but cannot get over the disappearance of my Dogpatch Sour.

Have you guys ever been in similar situations? Were you ever sure you had a certain beer in the fridge or cellar and came to find you were wrong? Or perhaps came to find a roommate drank it?

    RIP Dogpatch Sour

    Hahaha.

I don't live with family or roommates anymore, thankfully... the downside being if my beer started to vanish it would really be time to worry, because if I didn't drink it who the heck did??

...though, on the more positive side, if that did happen, at least the mystery burglar/ghost/whatever decided to only drink one of my beers rather than stealing my computer or something.

After a week at the beach with my family, I came home to find a bomber and another beer missing from my fridge. I was sure they were there before I left. Turned out my neighbor, who was feeding our pet, drank them. He fessed up when I confronted him as he is a recovering alcoholic and could not resist the temptations in my fridge. I am thankful he has never been in my cellar!!

Someone was enticed by that sweet ass bottle. I invited a bunch of people over to help me move, and opened the beer fridge up. Crowd was a mix of beer fans, and bud light fans...But light fans KEPT grabbing Almanacs, and wincing as they choked them down. I'm convinced it's that handsome bottle!

Nothing comes to mind, here. I suppose I would hide my expensive/rare beer to avoid that if it was a potential issue.

This. I have a mini fridge and a kegerator in my home bar. My wife knows she can drink anything from the mini fridge if it's 12 or 16oz. We share the bombers. Keeps it simple for the both of us!

My GF's pop has a nasty habit of cracking open brews that I'm saving specifically for NBS.

Really........when I bring beer to a party I open one when i get there and just figure the rest will be consumed by others.
